I reminded myself of Caz’s directive
as I began the journey toward being a Real Estate Agent. I was grumbling about
all the training and numerous fees and dues, so many I was beginning to feel I
was in a pyramid scheme. You might ask why I am a Realtor®
when my passion is to write. (I once read, “I am a writer like a dog is a dog. That
doesn’t mean I’m a good dog.”) The answer lies in making a living. Rats.
Droves of successful people say “Follow
your passion.”
And I will.
And so will you writers who will write
whether you get paid for it or not. You know, as I do, that it is in your blood.
So let’s get with it.
Let’s trust that the Universe doesn’t
give us an idea without also giving us a way to achieve it. (Is that too cliché?)
Cliché or not, I have inspired
myself.
